Holy Redeemer Anglican Church is a continuing church of the Anglican communion. We use the 1928 BCP (Book of Common Prayer) and the 1940 Hymnal. We provide a place to worship using the traditional liturgy and with traditional family values. We seek to grow our faith with Anglican catechism, morality, and the way of the Lord.
Holy Redeemer celebrates Holy Eucharist every Sunday at 10:00 am in the winter (November through April) and 10:45 am in the summer. Holy Redeemer is located at 4575 Route 364 in the Cottage City suburb of Crystal Beach hamlet in the town of Gorham, NY. That is, approximately 7 miles south of Canandaigua on East Lake Road (Rt 364). Map
Music is a large part of the Anglican tradition. We proudly use the 1940 Episcopal Hymnal for all our service music. Below are links to MIDI (music files) for the 1940 Hymnal. The Hymns contains much of the 1940 hymnal in MIDI form courtesy of Oremus.org. The Cooked Hymns contains full hymn sections with (many) corrections to the oremus.org "raw" version as well as edited into a number of verses. The Service Music are the service music components 700+ that are not included at oremus.org.
December 18th 2005, The Holy Redeemer youth group attends the C.S. Lewis classic "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". A very fine movie and a great Anglican fellowship event. John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
